Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Program

Program Dates: SY2024-25 (with an International travel component in spring or summer 2025)
Application Deadline: February 19, 2024

The Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Program is a fully-funded, year-long professional learning opportunity and short-term exchange for K-12 educators from the US to develop skills to prepare students for a competitive global economy. The program equips educators to bring an international perspective to their schools through targeted training, experience abroad, and global collaboration.

Participants complete a rigorous, semester-long online course focused on best practices in global education, gather for an in-person professional development workshop in DC, and travel abroad for 2-3 weeks to immerse themselves in another country’s culture and education system. As a culminating activity, each participant creates a global education guide that serves as a resource in their local community to share the skills, experiences, and resources they have developed throughout the program. Participating countries for the international experience are Brazil, Colombia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Morocco, Peru, Philippines, Senegal, and Uruguay. Applicants must be US citizens, with a minimum of 3 years full-time teaching experience.
