So you want to get involved with Globalize DC?
Join a community of educators, students, parents, partner organizations, civic leaders, and interested citizens who believe in our mission to globalize K-12 education in DC, and who want to work together with us to expand opportunities for our students to understand, experience, and engage with the wider world community.
Globalize DC’s success will depend on the ideas, energy, expertise, and contributions of all those who believe in our mission. As a first step, here are the big three ways you can get involved:
I. SIGN UP FOR OUR E-NEWSLETTER.
This is the best way for you to learn about Globalize DC, our programs, the latest news in global education, and ways to get involved. We’ll also send you timely updates on global education opportunities for students, educators, and other professionals. You can sign up for targeted emails on specific topics.
II. MAKE A DONATION.
Globalize DC has a big vision and a small organization. We are building and we depend on financial support from those who believe in what we do. Any amount – large or small – can be used and will be most gratefully received. Globalize DC is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.
III. VOLUNTEER.
Check our Volunteer Page for an outline of our volunteer needs.
Right now we have an immediate need for volunteers with expertise in:
- IT/WordPress – to offer support on two new websites
- Social media – to help with our newsletters, facebook, twitter, and other social media
- Graphic art – to help with several immediate small projects
- Japan and China – to support our student programs
- Fundraising – to help us with our fundraising strategy for 2017-18
