We’re a small organization and we can use all kinds of help. Here are some of our immediate needs. We’ll keep this page updated as volunteer needs and opportunities arise.
Leadership
What could be more important? In 2017 Globalize DC will be adding new members to its Board of Directors. We will be looking for individuals with special expertise, experience, and perspectives; a passion for the mission of the organization; and a commitment to devote time and energy to help us take Globalize DC to the next level. We are currently seeking individuals with social innovation, business, nonprofit management, legal, financial, fundraising, and real estate experience.
Program Advisors and Volunteers
We’ll also be seeking Advisors who can offer their guidance on a range of issues and program areas. We are currently creating Advisory Groups for our Japan and China programs.

Special Skills
We have a special need now for volunteers to help us with three new websites we’ll be maintaining, a new newsletter, our social media presence, and a new branding/identity package to go along with our new name. We’re especially seeking generous people with expertise in:
– Graphic arts
– Technology expertise, especially familiar with WordPress
– Social media
Fundraising
Building our budget and resources to support the development of a viable organization, capable of fulfilling its mission and long-term goals, will be a critical priority in the coming two years. If you’re interested in being part of a team to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, please let us know. This is important work!
Research
Globalize DC serves as a clearinghouse for information on global education in DC. We have a range of simple research tasks we’d like to tackle between February and August, including identification of local and internet-based global education resources, documentation of partner and school activities, and other useful information for our website. We think local university students would be perfect for this task.
Administrative Assistance
We can use volunteers to assist with a variety of administrative tasks vital to the functioning and growth of Globalize DC.
