Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Short-Term Program

The Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Short-Term Program for U.S. Teachers offers a fully funded two to six-week professional development experience abroad for K-12 US teachers and other educators (counselors, media specialists/librarians, curriculum specialists). Participants will share their educational expertise with schools, nonprofits, teacher training institutions, and other educational organizations abroad. Three countries are involved in the 2019 program: Mexico (for natural sciences or STEM teachers); Uganda (for ICT specialists); and Uzbekistan (for TESOL specialists). Eligible applicants must be US citizens, with a master’s degree (or enrolled in a master’s program). This program is funded by the US Department of State and administered by IREX.
