The George Washington University East Asia National Resource Center (NRC) is supported by a federal Title VI grant to engage the broader public on issues of importance in East Asia. The Center is currently seeking one or more local K-12 teachers interested in having their students participate in field trips visiting embassies and cultural sites in order to promote the study of East Asian languages and cultures. This is a great opportunity for DC public school teachers to enrich instruction around the new social studies standards, which call for more content on Asia and Asian Americans. Stipends are available for selected teachers.
