Teachers of Critical Languages Program

Program Dates: 2017-18 School Year
Application Deadline: January 23, 2017

The Teachers of Critical Languages Program (TCLP), funded by the US State Department and administered by American Councils, places fully funded EFL teachers from China, Egypt, and Morocco in US K-12 host schools for an academic year. The exchange teachers teach either Mandarin Chinese or Modern Standard Arabic, and will also serve as a cultural resource in the host school and community. TCLP funds teachers’ salaries, healthcare, R/T airfare, training, PD funds, and ongoing program support. The program also offers additional partially funded options. TCLP is a great way to start or grow an Arabic or Mandarin Language Program at your school. Informational webinars for potential school applicants have been scheduled for November 9, November 16, December 8, and January 4.
