Transatlantic Educators Dialogue (TED)

Program Dates: February 11-May 6, 2018
Application Deadline: January 26, 2018

Sponsored by the European Union Center at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the Transatlantic Educators Dialogue (TED) provides an opportunity for educators in the US and the EU to come together online for shared examination of a variety of educational topics of mutual concern, such as immigration, religion in education, active teaching methods, and issues related to identity and difference. TED allows American educators to build networks with European colleagues and foster global learning activities. Participants will meet online once a week for 90 minutes, with assigned readings each week. A total of 50 educators in the US and EU will be selected. Participants may be current teachers, pre-service teacher education students, school administrators, graduate students, and education faculty. The program is offered at no cost. Continuing education units (CEUs) are available for interested participants.
