Teachers for Global Classrooms Program

Program Dates: 2017-2018 (with travel component in spring or summer 2018)

The Teachers for Global Classrooms Program, funded by the US Department of State and administered by IREX, is a year-long professional development fellowship for K-12 teachers from the US aiming to become leaders in global education. Approximately 80 teachers will be selected nationwide for the 2017-18 program. The TGC Program includes an online professional development course, a Washington, DC Global Education Symposium in early 2018, and a 2-3 week international field experience in spring or summer 2018. Participants must develop a Capstone Project and are eligible for alumni grant opportunities. Applicants must be US citizens who are full time K-12 teaching professionals (teachers, library/media specialists) with 5 or more years of classroom experience.
