The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) Program offers American high school students the opportunity to live and study abroad in Germany for a full academic year through joint sponsorship by the US Congress and the German Bundestag. This fully funded program includes cultural immersion through living with a host family and attending a German high school; intensive language course upon arrival in Germany; meetings with German and US government officials; and cultural excursions. Eligible students must be US citizens, aged 15-18, with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. No prior German language study is required. CIEE administers the selection process and the program for Washington, DC.
